You want great skin? It is one of the things we admire in the faces on the magazines, flawless smooth skin. Although you can invest in many face care products (many of which will work beautifully when used as directed), you shouldn’t neglect the importance of the foods you eat. The basic fuel you give your body can affect its functions, even the ones that make your skin nice. How can you expect to have nice skin if you don’t give your body the things it needs?
An essential nutrient for your skin is vitamin A. You can get it from a variety of foods. Many orange-colored fruits are rich in vitamin A, namely cantaloupes, papayas, apricots, mangoes and peaches. (Incidentally, these fruits are also great for your vision!) If you’re looking for vegetable sources, you can get yellow or orange bell peppers, yellow squash, and dark green vegetables.
Dark green-colored salad greens count too! If you want to get your vitamin A from hardier protein-rich foods, liver, eggs, and fish are great sources. Don’t forget milk! If you’re having problems with your skin, try incorporating some of these foods that are not already a part of your regular diet. You might be surprised by improved skin before you know it.
