Gold Fighting Wrinkles - July 7th, 2009

I always thought it was odd.  Gold is such a desired commodity, and yet so many people have died for it.  Some have done it by choice, digging for gold at the expense of their own safety as well as their own diet and health.  They have left their families looking for even one small piece of gold for a small fortune to sell, and for the most part people never actually find it.  Sometimes they find fool’s gold, but rarely really real gold.

That is generally found by those who own the mines that have already been tapped among other things.  They have used it as a beauty secret for the ages, Cleopatra even bathed in it, and Chinese empresses used it as well, all believing it to be the fountain of youth.  Now people continue to use it for those reasons, believing that as it has been proven to be an extremely powerful antioxidant, it will be the answer to their skin and aging woes.

And while I recognize that it is powerful, there are other antioxidants, and I have to wonder if people really think about the toll it takes on life in general, families, human existence, etc, and if it’s really all worth it.  Personally, I am inclined to believe that it isn’t.  Usually, unlike with diamonds, people are choosing to leave things behind and search of their own volition as they have actually done quite a bit in the past.
