Safe Weight Loss Supplements - October 19th, 2011
Here’s the problem with diet pills and their manufacturers – they are all about the bottom line and making money.
Thus, they don’t mind lying to you in order to make a profit. Some are neither effective nor safe. Some are effective, but aren’t safe.
Luckily, there are also plenty of good apples out there for every bad one that can be picked. In this article, we’ll give you a few pointers on how to find those good apples while discarding the bad.
Traits Of The Good
First of all, you’ll want to keep your eye out for several good traits that all quality weight loss supplements possess. Not only are they good, but they should be easy to spot as well.
Here are a few of those traits that we’ve come up with, including:
•The Proven and Tested Trait- If you learn nothing else from this article, at least remember this much: Never consider an option unless it’s been clinically studied and tested for effectiveness and safety.
If you want to find something that you can trust, start by looking for those options that are actually trusted by health experts and nutritionists alike. Normally, there will be some sort of stamp or mark of approval located on a diet pill’s container or bottle that will notify you of this trait.
•The Easily Accessible Trait – Surprisingly, some weight loss supplements can be hard to get ahold of. Some are only sold online and depending on the website and seller, it may take weeks for orders to get processed. Other options may only be shipped using specific shipping methods, which can be a hassle.
And along those lines, there is always the debate of over-the-counter vs. prescription supplements. We’re here to tell you that you shouldn’t believe all the bologna about over-the-counter options being dangerous.
Some are just as effective and safe as their prescription counterparts. Moreover, they are easier to access. After all, prescriptions always mean a trip to the doctor’s office…and nobody likes those!
•The Multi-Functional Trait - The more a diet pill claims to do, the more potential it has. That doesn’t mean that it will follow through on all its promises, but it’s at least encouraging to know that you’ll be getting more for your buck.
Look for those options that have been designed as “all-around” performers who can do multiple functions. Some of these functions include fat burning, the suppression of appetites, and mood enhancement to name a few.
•The Organic Trait – Yes, we know that the organic craze might be a little over-the-top for some of you. But hey, at least some people are trying to preserve our environment right? On top of that, organic food options have proven to be healthier across the board. And the same goes for supplements as well.
Look for all-natural diet pills, or supplements that contain only all-natural ingredients. These will be your safest options. Basically, studies have shown that side effects are more prone to occur with products that contain chemically-created ingredients.
Spend Time Researching
Once you’ve gone through the aforementioned list of traits, you should be able to narrow your choices down to a small handful, or even two or three top choices.
When it gets to this point, you probably can’t go wrong with whichever choice you make. That being said, there is almost always a “best” option of the bunch, if that’s the goal you’re striving for.
To find the best weight loss supplement, both in terms of safety and effectiveness, you’ll need to spend some time researching and doing your homework.
This means sitting down at your computer and reading reviews, testimonials, and whatever information you can find on a particular supplement. Although the process may be time-consuming, its almost always worth it in the end.
Also, pay attention to detail. Look for things that may seem odd or out of place – such as a blend of 10 ingredients that only contains 200mg per serving. By paying attention to detail you may catch something that will help you to sway your decision one way or another.

7 Home Remedies to Reduce Wrinkles - October 17th, 2011

Sun damage, vitamin deficiencies, improper sleeping habits, and of course, old age, can all contribute to wrinkles. But no matter the cause, what we want is the cure!
Many products claim to rid those wrinkles permanently, but only a select number of wrinkle creams can actually produce the results we want. However, these natural home remedies may help hide those laugh lines so you can look as young as you feel.
Top 7 Home Remedies for Wrinkles
1. Aloe Vera Gel: Cut a leaf from an aloe vera plant and scrape off the gel with a spoon. Dab on to skin.
2. Milk Lotion: The Alfahydroxide acids within milk can help remove dead cells and stimulate the production of collagen, a naturally produced substance that keeps skin elastic, smooth, and wrinkle free. Begin by soaking a flannel cloth in milk and apply to face.
3. Carrot Lotion: Carrots have always been good for your eyes, but did you know that they can also improve the appearance of your skin? Carrots are naturally rich in antioxidants that can help prevent wrinkles and reduce the effects of age on skin. Combine carrots and water in a blender to create an at-home remedy for wrinkles. Apply to skin with a cotton ball.
4. Avocado Mask: This green ingredient is rich in natural skin-improving oils and antioxidants, and avocado masks have been popularly used at home and in spas for years.
Avocados can replenish the vitamin E in your skin, so it can better lock in moisture and stay healthy. Puree avocado flesh to create moisturizing mask. Let it sit on face for 10 minutes then rinse.
5. Egg Whites Mask: Egg whites are rich in proteins and can help tighten skin. Although the effects will only last for an hour or two, an egg white mask can help make your skin look fresh and young. Beat an egg white until creamy and then apply to face for half an hour. Then wash with warm water.
6. Cauliflower Mask: Boil cauliflower until soft, then puree until you have the perfect facial mask. Apply to face for a wrinkle-free skin.
7. Lettuce Lotion: After boiling lettuce leaves until soft (around 10 minutes), cool and strain lettuce lotion. Apply with a cotton ball.

A Note of Caution
Before trying any of these methods, however, be aware that what works for some may not work for others, and just because something claims to be “natural” doesn’t mean it’s safe for your skin. Exercise caution and don’t try these remedies if you think your skin may be sensitive to any of the ingredients.
Additionally, don’t try all these treatments too close together, as overexposure to a wide variety of products can dry out or damage your skin.
A Natural Way to Reduce Wrinkles
If none of these home remedies are working for you, then perhaps you may wish to invest in quality wrinkle cream.
Wrinkle creams such as Veralyze can help eliminate wrinkles by feeding your skin the perfect combination of wrinkle-fighting peptides. These peptides work deep into the skin, smoothing lines and promoting the production of healthy skin cells.
Unlike these home remedies, Veralyze comes with a money-back guarantee, so you can expect to see the difference without putting your skin or your money at risk.
How to Look and Feel Younger - October 12th, 2011

Whether you just want to turn back the hands of time or want to have more energy there are many things that people do to look and feel younger. You may even be able to add years to your life by abiding by the following eight principles.

2. Get sleep! You knew it was coming. Sleep is an important step in reversing the years. Your cells need time to renew and heal themselves from a long hard day and your mind needs rest.
3. Cut your saturated fat and increase your omega-3s. Do this by cutting back on red meat, cake, ice cream, etc. Instead eat complex carbohydrates found in whole grain, fruits, vegetables and plenty of fish.
4. Don’t be afraid to change your view of old age. Those with a positive view and outlook on aging tend to live longer, healthier lives.

It also keeps your blood and body moving helping to speed up the metabolism. When your metabolic functions are working properly you will find it easier to lose weight, gain muscle and feel like a younger version of yourself.
8. Make sure you have regular check-ups with your doctor Quarterly check-ups with your doctor help to provide you with an accurate assessment of your current health. African Mangos - October 12th, 2011
Fruit is yummy and good for our bodies. We’ve all learned this since we were taught about the food pyramid at a young age.
Packed with vitamin, fiber, minerals, and amino acids, fruit is key to a healthy diet.
Along those lines, we want to introduce you to a really, really healthy fruit today called African Mango. Actually you’ve probably already heard about African Mango and its ability to help people with the weight loss problems.
If not, this article will try to clue you in on what has the health world in a frenzy.
Its Origins
African Mango has been around for a long, long time. Also known as Irvingi Gabonesis, because its grown on a tree called Irvnigi Gabonesis, this “super fruit” is actually native to a region found in Western Africa.
For centuries, the native Africans have been using African Mango in their diets and for medicinal purposes. But its secret health benefits have been hidden from the rest of the world until just recently.
In the past few decades, western research and studies has unearthed the truth behind African Mango and its weight-loss properties. And ever since its health benefits have become public, more and more people have been jumping on its bandwagon – including medical doctors, nutritionists, health experts, and more.
Its Benefits
Okay, you probably just want us to cut to the chase right. Well, why don’t we do that by letting you know what it is that is driving people nuts about this fruit.
To make things easy on us, and your eyes, we’ve decided to list a few of the key functions that African Mango provides for users, including:
•Its Abundant Source of Fiber – Fiber is needed in our diets because of its ability to cleanse our systems of waste and unwanted debris. African Mango, likewise, contains a high amount of fiber, making it the perfect body cleanser if you put two and two together.
•It’s Ability to Delay the Digestion of Food – African Mango also has the ability to delay the digestion process, allowing our stomachs to stay full for a longer period of time. And what does this mean? It means that we eat less, and we increase our caloric reduction which is key to weight loss!
•It’s Regulation of the Leptin Hormone – Another reason that we tend to overeat is due to the irregular secretion of a hormone called the leptin hormone. This hormone is the hormone which tells the body that it’s eaten enough for the time being. That being said, our bodies don’t know when to stop eating when the leptin hormone is not present in our systems. Luckily, African Mango has the ability to replenish leptin hormone levels for those who are deficient.
•It’s Fat Burning Potential – It’s no secret that in order to see gains in weight loss, you’ll have to burn fat. Well, African Mango is THE fat burner because of its ability to jumpstart slow metabolisms. Not only that, but African Mango will directly attack fat cells as well, stopping them dead in their tracks!
This list should give you a general overview in terms of how African Mango positively affects our bodies. If you’re not satisfied and want more information about African Mango extract, you can always visit its official website by clicking the link that you just passed.
Safe and Sound
Now then, we’ve talked about the effectiveness of African Mango when it comes to weight loss, but what about potential side effects that are associated with its use?
You’ll be glad to know that African Mango weight loss products come with little to no side effects at all, according to previous and current users.
You see, African Mango and its extract equate to being an all-natural ingredient. Free of stimulants, and artificial properties, this super fruit is not only effective but extremely safe to use as well.
Those who have complained about side effects associated with African Mango products have only reported minor issues such as excessive gas and slight headaches here and there.
Irvingi Apress
Although African Mango is unsurpassed as a weight loss benefactor, not all African Mango products are equal. Some may include other ingredients that are risky or unproven.
But one African Mango product in particular simply avoids these questionable ingredients. In fact, Irvingi Appress basically only uses two very-proven ingredients in its blend – African Mango and Green Tea.
Green Tea is one of the best fat burners and body cleansers around. Combined with African Mango, this efficient duo will have you fitting into those skinny jeans that you’ve longed to wear in no time.
Irvinigi Apress actually has its own website for potential users to check out. We’ll link you to that website, just click here if you’re interested.
Top 5 Ways to Prevent Wrinkles - October 10th, 2011
Wrinkles can age you beyond your years, and if you’re determined to look as young as you feel, then you’ll be willing to try almost anything to hide those laugh lines and crow’s feet. To help you in your quest for the perfect skin, we’ve assembled some of the best methods for preventing wrinkles. These simple solutions will keep that youthful glow shining bright and bring out the sparkle in your skin.
Tips to Reduce Wrinkles
1. Stay out of the sun: Wrinkles tend to spring up in areas where sun exposure is at its greatest: neck, face, top of the forearms, and even the back of the hands. Studies have shown that those who regularly exposed themselves to the sun’s harsh rays were more likely to develop wrinkles than those who kept their sunbathing to a minimum. Do your skin a favor and put on a little sunscreen before heading outside.
2. Catch some Zzz’s: They don’t call it “beauty sleep” for nothing you know. Getting adequate amounts of sleep each night is one of the best ways to prevent wrinkles.
While you sleep, your body is hard at work repairing the damage caused to your skin throughout the day, keeping your skin young and smooth.
According to Yale dermatologist Nicholas Perricone, MD, the more sleep you get each night, the more HGH (human growth hormone) you’ll produce, which in turns helps skin to remain thick and more “elastic.”
Additional sleeping suggestion: avoiding sleeping on your side or stomach. Those sleep lines that are etched into your face from the pillow don’t always fade after you’ve gotten up in the morning. To keep wrinkles at bay, sleep on your back.
3. Stop the Squint: Age throws a wrench into a lot of your body’s natural processes, including your eye sight. You may find that as the years go by you have to hold the book further away (or closer to) your face before the words swim into focus.
Although you may think that reading classes make you look older, the extra strain and squint causes additional wrinkles which ages you further still. The repetitive act of squinting overworks the facial muscles which eventually create a permanent line on your otherwise smooth skin.
Also, no matter your age, wear sunglasses while outside to protect the skin from further sun damage, thus, reducing the need to squint.
4. Choose Chocolate over Caffeine: By switching from coffee to cocoa as your regular morning beverage, you’ll be doing your skin a favor.
According to a study published in the Journal of Nutrition in 2006, cocoa is loaded with epicatchins and catechins, dietary flavanols that improve circulation to skin cells, keep skin moisturized, and protect skin from sun damage – so you can have younger, smoother skin without the addictive rush of caffeine every morning.
5. Keep it Moisturized: Hydrated skin is healthy skin, and the more you moisturize the younger you’ll look. Moisturized skin looks smoother and wrinkles are far less noticeable. By investing in a quality moisturizing cream, you’ll keep skin elastic, young, and smooth.
What We Recommend
If you’re looking for the perfect anti-aging wrinkle creams to keep your skin looking its best, then we recommend the moisturizing power of Veralyze. This advanced formula uses a high concentration of natural peptides so you can restore the youthful glow and beauty of your skin without making a dent in your wallet.
Considered to be one of the best eye creams available, Veralyze is backed with a 100% money-back guarantee, so you can see the difference in your skin without the worry. With Veralyze, you can target those laugh lines and wrinkles so you can look as great as you feel.
Essential Oils For Eczema - August 10th, 2010
Many are always looking for new and natural ways to treat old problems and issues. We find that the prescriptions don’t work for us, or maybe they cause a number of side effects that we find undesirable along the way. Any way you look at it, we do not actually like options in every case that seem to be professional. But the good news is that when it comes to the treatment of eczema, there are other options.
One of the major options being recently recognized is actually essential oils. Essential oils encompasses a rather broad group of natural ingredients. There are some that are mostly meant to moisturize the skin such as avocado oil or shea butter oil. These can provide rather penetrating results, and they target one of the most obvious symptoms of eczema.
But there are other benefits to having the right essential oils. When you use essential oils, you will find that there are others that have powerful antibacterials that can eliminate the bacteria that may contribute to eczema breakouts. One of the best examples of that would be tea tree oil, which is also an antiseptic, an antifungal, and much more. Others provide your skin with good fatty acids and other nutrients that the skin needs. And of course, when you can get rose petal oil, it has been known for a great number of benefits outside of eczema. The problem is that rose petal oil can be extremely expensive as you literally have to have thousands of rose petals for just 1oz of oil.
There are many different essential oils to choose from, and if you get the right essential oils, it can help you to treat the many symptoms of eczema. But of course, always thoroughly evaluate the options that use these.
Dry Skin & Aging - September 25th, 2009
I grew up in the desert. My family spent a lot of time picnicking and hiking out in the sand, and so I have some experience with really dry weather and skin care. I was not very concerned about my skin when I was younger, and the dry climate often caused my skin to crack open. My knuckles would actually bleed if they became too dry, and I hate to think about my perpetually black dry knees and elbows.
My mom was always badgering me to use some lotion, but I usually did not do so until I saw the blood. My face was not as prone to dryness, but I did have raw red dry patches that would pop up on my cheeks at certain times of the year. The early winter (especially November) seemed to be the time when I was most prone to having this happen. I think what saved me was scented lotion. I didn’t like taking the time to put on lotion, but my mom started to get some really luxuriant-smelling lotions. I wanted to put them on to smell good, but they also fixed my dry skin problem. If you have kids that resist lotion for their dry skin, you might want t0 try scents that will appeal to them. It might just do the trick.
The Best Skin Care - July 24th, 2009
One of the best things for skin care is consistency. Sounds basic, right? Well, it really is true that good skin care habits will carry you through as you experiment with various products. If you’re concerned with having beautiful and healthy skin, make time every day to take care of it. Wash your face thoroughly morning and night. It’s especially important at night because of all the grime that builds up in your skin over the course of the day.
Grime isn’t all tha collects in your skin, either. If you’re a person who uses makeup, you know that it can stick to your skin like another layer. If you want healthy skin, that makeup needs to come off at night. During the day, be kind to your skin. Be careful to not have overexposure to the sun if you can avoid it during the hottest hours of the day. Consistent skin care habits will generally ensure that your skin stays firm and smooth with few pimples and blemishes.
If you have great products, but only use them occassionally, they won’t be as effective. Like most things in life, consistency pays off. Your skin will thank you for making skin care a regular daily priority.
Vitamin A For Skincare - July 15th, 2009
You want great skin? It is one of the things we admire in the faces on the magazines, flawless smooth skin. Although you can invest in many face care products (many of which will work beautifully when used as directed), you shouldn’t neglect the importance of the foods you eat. The basic fuel you give your body can affect its functions, even the ones that make your skin nice. How can you expect to have nice skin if you don’t give your body the things it needs?
An essential nutrient for your skin is vitamin A. You can get it from a variety of foods. Many orange-colored fruits are rich in vitamin A, namely cantaloupes, papayas, apricots, mangoes and peaches. (Incidentally, these fruits are also great for your vision!) If you’re looking for vegetable sources, you can get yellow or orange bell peppers, yellow squash, and dark green vegetables.
Dark green-colored salad greens count too! If you want to get your vitamin A from hardier protein-rich foods, liver, eggs, and fish are great sources. Don’t forget milk! If you’re having problems with your skin, try incorporating some of these foods that are not already a part of your regular diet. You might be surprised by improved skin before you know it.
Wrinkle Myths - July 11th, 2009
1. Facial exercises prevent wrinkles-when you contract muscles within the face, you are actually more likely to cause wrinkles than you are to prevent them. Facial exercises realistically don’t do anything, they don’t produce more collagen or elastin, product them, or otherwise
2. Eating more omega 3 will prevent aging-omega 3 is really good for your heart and it does moisturize skin while controlling its natural oil production. So it has quite a few good skin and health benefits. But it doesn’t actually prevent wrinkles in any way, shape, or form and more than 12oz fish per week can be unhealthy to some degree.
3. Tanning machines are safe-they are not safe! They have the same UV ray damage and risks as the sun itself, and some would even say that they are more dangerous and cause more skin cancer than the sun by itself.
4. Creams are just like botox without the side effects-there are some ingredients that mimic the way botox works. And while botox does take weeks to set in, and then it only lasts 4 months at a time, you cannot compare the power of a cream to the power of botox. Creams take more time, they only mimic in some ways, and they usually come without side effects. But you simply cannot expect the exact same thing
5. Night creams aren’t worth my money-actually day creams are extremely important because obviously they protect your skin during the day and all. But at night, the pores open up and allow more help to be given. So if you don’t have a good night cream, you aren’t getting the fast and effective results you really want.
